Uninstall And Reinstall Printer Software Using the PCL

Shut down your system and turn off power.

Disconnect your printer from the Ditto drive.

Turn on your computer and let Windows 95 load.

Click the
Start
button, select
Programs
, then
HP LaserJet 5L
and
Uninstall
.

With the printer disconnected, reinstall your printer software and select
Install the PCL driver alternative
.

Do not Restart Windows.

Shut down your system and turn off power.

Reconnect printer to Ditto drive.

Turn on your computer and let Windows 95 start.
NOTE:
Some parallel ports are set to ECP mode. If so, setting the port to
bidirectional or EPP mode may also be necessary. Refer to your computer manual
for instructions on how to set the parallel port mode.
