To configure the settings of your network drive, open the web browser, enter the IP address of your
device and then use the web interface. If you don’t know its IP address, use the Nettool application.

Important
Before attempting to access the device over the network connection, make sure the USB
cable has been disconnected and the drive is connected to the same local network as your
computer.
2.2.1 Login on a PC
Open your web browser and type
STORAGE
or if connected directly to your computer, type
169.254.0.1 into the URL field and hit the Enter key to connect.
If you have more than one device connected, type STORAGE-xxxx, where xxxx stands for the last
four digits of the MAC address as seen on the bottom of your device (e.g. STORAGE-BB0B).
2.2.2 Nettool Application on a PC
If typing STORAGE in the address field of your web browser does not work, use the Nettool
application to locate the network drive instead.
1. The Nettool application requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). If JRE is not already
installed on your computer, go t2. Double click on the *.EXE file to start the application.
3. The device will be listed automatically and it will display its IP address, device name and
group name. If the information is not automatically displayed, make sure the network drive
and your computer are connected to the same local network and assure that the Nettool is
not blocked by the firewall (javaw.exe requires UDP out at port 14675).
