Hold the utility knife blade on the stainless
cut surface of the Grooved Deck before the belt
and vertically against the Cut Guide Edge.

7.
Make
several
straight, identical, scoring cuts
(rather than one deep cut) across the width of
the belt. Any other belt scoring must be cut
away.
8.
When the belt is cut through, remove it from
the Grooved Deck.
Inspect Belt Ends
Ensure the prepared belt end cuts meet these
requirements.
Belt ends are square, or perpendicular, to
the belt top surface and the belt edges.

Belt ends are straight, not wavy or jagged,
and do not contain scoring cuts that could
hold contaminates.
For example, inspect the prepared end by
holding it against the straight Cut Guide.

Belt ends are dry and free of oils, residue,
debris, and liquid.
FAIL:
If belt ends do NOT meet these require-
ments, troubleshoot until requirements are met.
