VT220/ANSI Terminal Emulation Programmer’s Reference Guide

Column Character Description

(Space)

This column typically contains a space.

Extended command.

Transmit Only command.

4800 baud.

No data parity.

Eight data bits.

One stop bit.

No CTS flow control.

No DTR flow control.

No XON/XOFF flow control.

Flow control timeout is 5 seconds.

Receive Only On RS-232 Port (#G)

The Receive Only On RS-232 Port extended command pro-

vides a way to use the RS-232 port on the wireless station

to collect data. A scale is one example of a use for this com-

mand. The host computer sends “#G” characters to alert

the wireless station for activity on the port. Table 9-3 lists

columns in which characters must appear.
