Camera operation 

This chapter describes how to use the camera. 

On-screen display 

Information on the status of several dome camera functions can be displayed on 
the monitor screen. The on-screen display (OSD) shows the following 
information: 

Table 11: On-screen information 

Zoom: 

The level of magnification 

Direction: 

The compass direction the camera is pointing. The information is 
displayed in the format NEXXX TXXX where “NEXXX” is the position 
north-east in degrees and “TXXX” the vertical position in degrees. 

Alarm message: 

Alarm message display. 

Time: 

Time display. 

Preset title: 

Identifies the preset in use. 

 

See “Display information” on page 24 for further information on customizing the 
information displayed. 

Live mode 

Open the camera’s Web browser screen and click the Preview button on the 
menu toolbar to view live mode (see Figure 6 on page 16). However, the live 
screen is initially blank. You must then click the Start Live View button on the 
bottom of the screen for the live view to appear on-screen.
