C0000, C4000, C8000, CC000, D0000, D4000, D8000, or DC000. The Optimal and Fail-
Safe default settings are C8000.
Peripheral Menu
Select Peripheral Setup from the BIOS Setup main menu to display the Peripheral Setup
options.
Onboard FDC
Set this option to Enabled to enable the floppy disk drive controller on the system board.
The settings are Auto (the BIOS automatically determines if the floppy disk drive controller
should be enabled), Enabled, or Disabled. The Optimal and Fail-Safe settings are Auto.
Onboard Serial Port#
This option specifies the base I/O port address of each serial (COM) port. The settings are
Auto (the BIOS automatically determines the correct base I/O port address), Disabled, 3F8h,
2F8h, 2E8h, or 3E8h. The Optimal and Fail-Safe settings are Auto.
Serial Port2 Mode
This option specifies the operating mode for serial (COM) port 2. This option only appears
if the Onboard Serial Port2 option is not set to Disabled. The settings are IrDA (Infrared
Dealer’s Association protocol), ASK IR (Ask Computer Company infrared protocol), or
Standard. The Optimal and Fail-Safe settings are Standard.
Onboard Parallel Port
This option specifies the base I/O port address of the parallel (LPT) port. The settings are
Disabled, Auto (the BIOS automatically determines the correct setting, 378, 278, or 3BC.
The Optimal and Fail-Safe settings are Auto.
Parallel Port Mode
This option specifies the operating mode for the parallel (LPT) port. The settings are:

EPP The parallel port can be used with devices that adhere to the Enhanced Parallel
Port (EPP) specification. EPP uses the existing parallel port signals to provide
asymmetric bi-directional data transfer driven by the host device.
