Screener PLUS Hardware Manual: Part Number 11811 Rev B, Special Topics: Connecting Power and Data Cables

Connecting iQue Screener PLUS Power Cables

Plug the UPS into a grounded socket.

Check the UPS for warnings or alarms that indicate faulty or inadequate power or a defective UPS batter.

Plug the iQue Screener PLUS main power into one of the protected and battery backed up sockets on the

UPS as shown in the diagram below.

Turn the main iQue Screener PLUS power on using the switch on the back of the instrument.

Plug the iQue Screener PLUS workstation into another protected and battery backed up sockets on the UPS

(this is not required for safety, but having the computer on battery backup can prevent work interruption in

the case of a power outage).

CAUTION

The iQue Screener PLUS’s UPS is required equipment. Failure to properly connect

the iQue Screener PLUS power can result in severe instrument damage and

invalidates the instruments CE mark.

Connecting iQue Screener PLUS Data

Connect the iQue Screener PLUS workstation to the corporate LAN using the primary Network Interface Card

(NIC) on the workstation.

Connect the iQue Screener PLUS to the iQue Screener PLUS workstation using a standard Ethernet cable

plugged into the secondary Network Interface Card (NIC) on the workstation.

CAUTION

Never connect the iQue Screener PLUS directly to the corporate network. The

iQue Screener PLUS’s internal computer runs a DHCP server.
