5 Using the Control Software

5.3 Software Interface

Save Camera
Position

Saves the current viewing angle and position of the 3D window. The next
time you open CNCBase/Motion, that saved view will be restored
automatically.

Send Tool to
Origin

Moves the tool to the workpiece origin immediately. (Available in Simulation
mode only.)

Send Tool to
Point

Displays a cursor: click any point on the workpiece, and the tool will move
directly to that point. (Available in Simulation mode only.)

Reset
Workpiece

Returns the workpiece to its original uncut form in the 3D window.

Tool Menu and ATC Control Toolbar

The configuration of the tools and the optional 4-position tool changer is performed in the windows
listed below, all accessible from the Tools menu in the Main Menu. Some are also accessible from the
ATC Control Toolbar.
