Two jumpers control the functioning of the BIOS Flash devices:
•
JP4 selects the active device (BIOS1 or BIOS2)
•
JP22 enables the SPI_EMUL header exclusive access to the selected Flash device for
programming via the SPI bus.
Note:
The SPI_EMUL header may also be used to connect an external ROM emulator if desired. In
this case, BIOS1 must be selected for normal operation, and the BIOS1 Flash device must be
removed from its socket. Return the Flash device to its socket once finished using the
emulator. Make sure to align pin one of the Flash device with pin one of the socket (designated
by a white triangle on the board next to the socket).
