Keyboard
—Continued
Notes:
• If the keyboard doesn’t work reliably, try
replacing the batteries.
• Don’t mix new and old batteries or different
types of batteries.
• If you intend not to use the keyboard for a
long time, remove the batteries to prevent
damage from leakage or corrosion.
• Expired batteries should be removed as soon
as possible to prevent damage from leakage
or corrosion.
The wireless keyboard uses radio signals (RF) to
communicate with the NVS-7.7 so you don’t
have to aim it at the NVS-7.7 when you use it.
Notes:
• The operating range for the wireless key-
board is up to approximately 20 feet (7 m),
although, this will depend on the environ-
ment in which it’s used. If the keyboard
doesn’t work reliably, try moving it closer to
the NVS-7.7, or press the Transmit [
] but-
ton.
• Even within the operating range there may be
some areas (dead spots) where the keyboard
doesn’t work reliably. This is a characteristic
of RF signals and is not a malfunction. If this
occurs, move the keyboard.
• Don’t put anything on top of the keyboard,
such as a book or magazine, because a button
may be pressed continuously, thereby drain-
ing the batteries.
