cable or satellite set-top box.

To receive cable TV, analog terrestrial TV, or
FM radio, connect to this jack. Use a com-
biner or splitter if necessary.

VIDEO OUT S VIDEO/VIDEO (29)
This S-Video output is for connecting a dis-
play with an S-Video input or composite
video input with the supplied S-Video/com-
posite video cable. We recommend that you
use the S-Video plug if your display has an
S-Video input.

DVI VIDEO OUT (28)
This DVI video output is for connecting a
display with a DVI input.

COMPONENT VIDEO OUTPUT (29)
This RCA component video output is for
connecting a display with an RCA compo-
nent video input.

ANALOG 2CH AUDIO OUT L/R (31)
This analog audio output is for a 2-channel
analog audio connection to your AV
receiver. It uses the onboard VLSC Vector
Linear Shaping Circuitry. With this connec-
tion, the volume level is set solely on the AV
receiver.

COAXIAL/OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO
OUT (30)
These coaxial and optical digital audio out-
puts are for a digital audio connection to
your AV receiver. They support up to 5.1-
channels. With this connection, the volume
level is set solely on the AV receiver.

ANALOG 7.1CH AUDIO OUT (31)
These FRONT L/R, SURROUND L/R,
SURR BACK L/R, CENTER, and SUB-
WOOFER jacks are for a 7.1- or 5.1-channel
analog audio connection to your AV
receiver. With this connection, the volume
level can be set on the NVS-7.7
and
AV
receiver.
L
RS232 port
This port is for connecting the NVS-7.7 to
automation and external controllers.
M
IR BLASTER 1/2 (32)
By affixing a commercially available IR
emitter to your cable or satellite set-top box,
you can use the NVS-7.7’s remote controller
to change TV channels.
