Port mirroring at the Ethernet switch for analysis purposes
A port at the switch of the MoRoS LAN PRO 2.0 can reproduce a copy of the
data at another network port of the switch. At this mirror port, the trans-
mitted data can be read for analysis purposes (e.g. for intrusion detection
systems, problem analysis of end terminals), without affecting the net-
work traffic.
Time synchronization via NTP
The MoRoS LAN PRO 2.0 has a buffered real-time clock and can synchro-
nize its system time via the Network Time Protocol with an NTP server in
the Internet. The system time will thus always be current and the internal
clock does not need to be set manually. In addition, the time and the date
can be set manually, if no NTP server is available.
HTTP and HTTPS proxy with URL filter
The proxy may be used to limit the access to web addresses for applica-
tions in the local network of the MoRoS LAN PRO 2.0. The MoRoS LAN PRO
2.0 supports the HTTP and HTTPS protocols.
Downloadable log files
The system messages of the MoRoS LAN PRO 2.0 can be downloaded as
text files via the web interface.
Downloadable configuration files
The configuration of the MoRoS LAN PRO 2.0 can be downloaded as file.
The files can be used as backup copy to configure the MoRoS LAN PRO 2.0
after a factory reset, or for convenient loading of a similar configuration
into different MoRoS LAN PRO 2.0.
Firmware update via web interface
The firmware of the MoRoS LAN PRO 2.0 can be updated via the web inter-
face.
