1. During a call press the
key. The call is put on hold. You will hear a dial
tone on
Line 2
and the phone ready symbol
will appear. The held
connection is shown in the first line of the display.
2. Enter the second phone number and confirm with the
key. A second
connection will be established and shown underneath the held call.
Either the number or the name of the person called will appear in the
display. The active connection is shown by a symbol with two connected
phones (see fig. 9).
3. To end the second call, either press the loudspeaker key
or hang up.
Confirm with OK, and you will be reconnected to
Line 1
, your first call.
3.1.9 Switch
You can switch between two connections using the switch function.
During a conversation with one active (
Line 1
) and one held connection (
Line 2
),
press the
key and you will be connected with the held party (
Line 1
).
The active party is now put on hold. The status line changes to the held party
(
Line 2
), so that at any time, by pressing the
key, you can switch to
Line 1
(see fig. 9).
3.1.10 Transferring a call
You are making a call and would like to transfer it to another party.
1. During the call press the
key.
The call is placed on hold. You will hear a dial tone on
Line 2
.
2. Enter the number.
The connection will be established. If the called party answers, this can be
treated like a second call, as above.
3. To connect the two parties, press the service key
, scroll with the arrow
keys
to
Transfer
and confirm with the
key. The caller will be
connected. You can preconfigure a function key for this activity.
