Press the loudspeaker key
and place the handset back on the rest.
The loudspeaker symbol
will appear in the display and you can continue
with the call, hands-free.
If you are making a hands-free call and would like to change to the handset:
Pick up the handset, the
symbol will disappear and hands-free
operation will be cancelled.
3.1.7 Muting
You can mute the microphone during a call to make a confidential enquiry in the
room without being heard on the phone.

, until the microphone symbol
appears on the display.
The microphone is then switched off (see fig. 8). You can now talk without
being overheard.
2. Press the mute key
again, until the microphone symbol
disappears.
If you are using the handset, the microphone symbol will disappear
and the handset microphone will be switched on.
If you are making a hands-free call, the microphone symbol
will be
shown constantly. The microphone is no longer crossed out and the
hands-free microphone is switched on. You can continue your call.
3.1.8 Making second calls
You can put a call on hold. With the call on hold, you can make a second call to
someone else. The person on hold can't hear the second call. The person on
hold hears a “waiting” tone or music, if available. The hold function is also
needed to switch or transfer a call.
