SYSTEM/ACTUATOR TESTS

- Block all drive wheels.
- Set the parking brake. (DO NOT apply the brake pedal at this
time.)
- Turn the ignition on. DO NOT start the engine at this time.
- Press and hold the brake pedal.
- Start and idle the engine.
- Make sure the A/C system is off.
- Place the transmission in PARK or NEUTRAL.

If engine coolant temperature is less than 70°C, a status screen
displays.
When engine coolant temperature is greater than 70°C, an
“instructional” screen displays.
- Cycle the ignition off then back on.
- Start and idle the engine.

The screen shows the current

Engine Speed

TP
Indicated Angle
,
ECT Sensor
,
A/C
Relay Command
, and
APP
Indicated Angle
.
- Accelerate to wide open throttle,
and hold until fuel cutoff occurs,
then release the accelerator.
The message “Test in progress…”
shows while the “learn” procedure is
in progress.
When the procedure is complete,
the message “Learn Status:
Success” shows.

Exit
to return to the ECM
Special Functions menu.
HO2S Learn Sensor
The HO2S Learn Sensor function lets you perform the “learning”
procedure for a selected oxygen sensor heater.
1.
Select
HO2S Learn Sensor
in the ECM Special Functions menu,
then press
ENTER
.
The Select Sensor screen displays.

Select the oxygen sensor you wish to reset, then choose
Reset
.
