3. Make sure all engine drain plugs are installed. Refer
to
Section 8, Storage and Winter Lay-Up. There are several drain
locations:
Block
– The 6.2L engine block is cooled by anti-freeze coolant.
Coolant is drained from the block only when the required
coolant change interval is reached.
Exhaust
– The drain hose between the exhaust manifolds must
be connected.
Transmission
– The transmission oil cooler has drain plugs.
Refer to Section 7, Maintenance, for specific instructions.
Fresh Water Cooling System
– The heat exchanger has a
single drainage point that can be accessed by removing the
anode or drain plug. Refer to “Storage and Winter Lay-Up” on
page 8-1.
4. Check engine oil level with the dipstick. Do not overfill.

5. WARNING! Frequently inspect fuel lines and connections
for leaks or deterioration.
Verify fuel lines are tight and there
is no leakage present.
6. Inspect oil lines and oil filter. Ensure they are tight and no
leakage is present.
