Ge ar Shift Le ve r
The g e ar shift leve r is locate d on the le ft sid e of the
motorcycle . Op e rate the leve r with your foot.
• Pre ss d ownward on the toe leve r to shift to a lowe r g e ar.
• Lift up ward on the toe leve r to shift to a hig he r g e ar.
• Re le ase the leve r afte r e ach g e ar shift.

WARNING! An im p rop e rly re tracte d sid e stand could contact the
g round and cause a loss of control re sulting in se rious injury or
d e ath. Always re tract the sid e stand fully b e fore op e rating the
m otorcycle .
To p ark the motorcycle , swing the e nd of the sid e stand
d ownward and away from the motorcycle until it is fully
e xte nd e d . Always turn the hand le b ars to the le ft for
maximum stab ility. Le an the motorcycle to the le ft until the
sid e stand firmly sup p or ts the motorcycle .
CAUTION! If the m otorcycle we ig ht is not re sting on the sid e stand ,
it will not lock. In this situation, any m ove m e nt of the m otorcycle
could cause the sid e stand to re tract slig htly. If the sid e stand is not in
the full forward p osition whe n the m otorcycle we ight is re ste d on it,
the m otorcycle could fall ove r, p ossibly causing injury and d am ag e to
the m otorcycle .
To re tract the sid e stand , strad d le the motorcycle and b r ing
it to the fully up r ig ht p osition. Swing the e nd of the sid e stand
up ward and toward the motorcycle until it is fully re tracte d .
