11. PROBLEMS SOLUTION
In this chapter they are presented the commonest difficulties found by the customers.
1) Problem:
Locking of equipment or auto reset.
Possible causes:
net noises, lack of earthing or inadequate earthing.
Solution:
put RC filters in the feeding inputs. Provide or repair the earthing. Install noise
suppressors in contactors coils. Feed the equipment with a different phase from the one
used to the activations.
2) Problem:
Wrong measurement of the power factor.
Possible cause:
equipment wrong installation, inverted connections incorrect
programming.
Solution:
reinstall the equipment identifying correctly the phases of the electric system
respecting the displacement of 120º between L1, L2 and L3. In case it is already, it should
be verified the CT's and PT's polarity and the type of programmed connection (delta or star).
3) Problem:
it does not switch on.
Possible cause:
applied voltage in disagreement with the specified.
Solution:
check if the applied voltage at the feeding input is inside of the specified range.
4) Problem:
it does not communicate.
Possible cause:
serial fault connection or inverted connection, net or speed address of
incompatible communication.
Solution:
verify the cable connection and polarity. Verify the serial programming,
communication net and speed address, should be alike the programmed in the net
monitoring software.
5) Problem:
it does not measure frequency.
Possible cause:
lack of voltage in the phase L1.
Solution:
verify if there exist the connection in the input of phase L1 or if the level of the
applied voltage is inside the specified range.
