Applications
This unit serves for effect illumination, e. g. on
stage, in discotheques or festival rooms. It creates
rotating red, green and blue light beams. As a light
source, three super bright LEDs are used which
have a low power consumption, a low heat devel-
opment and a long life.
The light effect unit is designed for control via a
DMX light controller (6 DMX channels). However, it
can also be operated without a controller, either as
an individual unit or interconnected with several
units of the same model in the master/slave mode.

Mounting
G
Always place the unit so that a sufficient air circu-
lation is ensured during operation. The air vents at
the housing must not be covered in any case.
G
The distance to the radiated object should be
50 cm as a minimum.
Fix the light effect unit via its mounting bracket to a
suitable place, e. g. with a stable mounting screw or
a support for lighting units (C hook) to a cross bar.
To align the unit, release the two locking screws at
the mounting bracket, adjust the desired inclination
and retighten the screws.

Setting into Operation
1) To
switch on
, connect the mains cable supplied
to the mains jack (5) and the plug to a socket
(230 V~
/
50 Hz). The display (3) shows
(reset) and then the present operating mode for
5 seconds.
2) To
switch off
the unit, disconnect the mains
plug from the socket.
For a more convenient operation, it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a socket which can
be switched on and off via a light switch.
Caution:
Do not connect the unit to the mains volt-
age via a dimmer!
5.1 Display
The 4-digit display indication is activated by press-
ing any button – MODE (1), FUNC (2), UP/ DOWN
(4) – and shows the last adjustment (selected oper-
ating mode or selected function). The indication will
be extinguished 30 seconds after the last button
has been pressed.
For model LED-122RGB a
rotation of the display
indication by 180°
is possible: Press the button
FUNC so many times until the display shows
(= normal indication) or
(= indication rotated).
With the button UP or DOWN it is now possible to
switch between both adjustments.

Operation without controller
For the operation without controller three modes
G1 to G3 are available:
–
Light show controlled by music
The light show runs in the rhythm of the music
picked up via the microphone (11). Advance the
control (10) for the microphone sensitivity clock-
wise until the light effect unit responds to the
music as desired. When changing the volume at
the music system, the sensitivity of the micro-
phone has to be adapted accordingly.
–
Automatic light show.
–
Reset mode (LEDs off)
Press the button MODE (1) so many times until
,
or
is shown on the display (3).
Then select the desired mode from the three
modes with the button UP or DOWN (4).
6.1 Master / slave mode
Several units of a model may be operated in sync.
Then the first unit (master unit) controls the remain-
ing units (slave units). Connect the units with each
other in a chain. For this purpose see chapter 7.1,
however, without paying attention to step 1.
Adjust the master unit (the first unit of the chain
whose control input is not connected) to one of the
three “G” modes
see above. Adjust the slave
units to the slave operation as follows: Press the
button MODE (1) so many times until
is
shown on the display (3).
WARNING
Never look directly into the light
source, this may cause eye damage.
Please note that fast changes in
lighting, e. g. flashing light, may trig-
ger epileptic seizures with photo
-
sensitive persons or persons with
epilepsy!
WARNING
The unit must be mounted in a safe
and expert way. If it is installed at a
place where people may walk or sit
under, it must additionally be se
-
cured [e. g. by a safety rope; lead the
safety rope through the safety lug (8)
and fix it so that the maximum falling
distance of the unit would not exceed
20 cm].
