Unattended Batch Installation
An unattended batch installation uses pre-existing installation packages that expose parameters to a
shell script or command file. It is a "forward only" command sequence that executes a variety of tasks. It
is not a formal installation package that manages each component. You can run this to install and
configure all services and settings the Nexio CIFS service depends on.
Run Unattended Batch Installation
1.
Extract files from
InstallPostGreSQLForCIFS.zip
.
2.
Double-click
InstallPostGreSQLForCIFS.cmd
to install
3.
The installation process initiates and will run for approximately 00:03:20.
4.
Reboot the system
Configuring the CIFServer Application
Once the NLE gateway device is connected to and configured with the Nexio SAN, you should verify that
the LLM and CIFServer applications are running.
Note.
The LLM and CIFServer applications must be running properly before you can connect a client
workstation to the NLE Gateway.
Launching the LLM and CIFServer
On the desktop of the NLE gateway server, double-click the
CIFServer
shortcut icon.
This will launch the LLM and the CIFServer application.
Verify that the all of the server nodes in your Nexio system are displayed in the LLM UI. Also, make sure
the logical disks display according to your Nexio system configuration.
Note.
CIFServer can be run in rebuild mode. This should only be done when instructed by an Imagine
Communications support representative. To do this, run CIFServer in a command line and adding –r. Or,
create a separate shortcut with the following target:
C:\VR\CIFServer.exe –r
.
