ASSEMBLY (Fig. 1)
CAUTION: Always pull out the mains plug from the socket before carrying out any assembly or
maintenance on the machine.
1. Guide fence unit
- Place the guide fence (8) on the top of the right side plate. Be sure the two holes of the guide
fence are aligned with the two screw holes of the table plate.
- Screw the guide fence (8) onto the planing table by means of the two socket head screws pro-
vided.
2. Knife guard unit
- Place the knife guard unit (9) on the left side of the fixed table.
- Put the two holes of the knife guard unit (9) into the pin and thread stem.
- Tighten the nut provided.
OPERATION
IMPORTANT: The surface/rotary planer is intended specially for planing operations on solid tim-
ber, using high-alloyed (HL) knives. When rotary planing, the contact surface of the workpiece
must be flat. In case bigger or heavier workpieces should be worked, it is necessary to clamp the
machine firmly to its supporting bench or table (e.g. as with screw clamps). The machine is not
suitable for operation outdoors. Any other use beyond this scope is considered as failing to comply
with the intended purpose. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage or injuries caused as a
result of this; the risk is borne solely by the user.

The main switch (7) of the machine is located on the left side under the yellow foldable cover.
To switch on the machine, press the green button “1”. To switch off the machine, press the red
button “0”. The switch can be locked to prevent the machine from being inadvertently switched
on by folding down the yellow cover.
- This machine is equipped with an overload switch for motor running protection. Once the over-
load occurs, the machine will stop automatically. After a while, the overload switch can be re-
set.
CAUTION: The cutter head not used has to be covered by the knife guard (9).
