Operate the receiver in the normal way.

When the received signal includes a matching tone/code,

the squelch opens and the signal can be heard.

• When the received signal’s tone/code does not match, tone/

DTCS squelch does not open, however, the S-indicator shows
signal strength.

• To open the squelch manually, push and hold [CLR SQL] for

1sec.

Pocket beep function

When pocket beep function is activated and the signal

with a matching tone/code is received, the receiver emits
beep tones for 30 sec. and blinks “

.”

Push [CLR SQL] to stop the beeps and blinking.
