SEARCH AND SCAN OPERATIONS

New2001

Set the desired stand-by condition.

• Select VFO or memory channel.
• Search, scan or priority watch operation can also be selected.

When the alert is detected, a beep sounds and the follow-

ing indication will be displayed.

Turn the weather alert function OFF in SCAN menu.

NOTE: While receiving a signal (on a frequency other

than the weather alert ON frequency), the receiving signal
or audio will be interrupted momentarily every 5 sec.

symptom is caused by the WX alert function. To cancel
these symptoms, set the weather alert item OFF in SCAN
menu.

Skip setting for scanning

Memory category/group/name can be set to be skipped dur-
ing scan operation. In addition, memory channels can be set
to be skipped during search or scan operation. This is useful
to speed up the search or scan rate.

Enter “SKIP” in SCAN menu.
