Turn the weather alert function OFF in SCAN menu.
NOTE: While receiving a signal (on a frequency other
than the weather alert ON frequency), the receiving signal
or audio will be interrupted momentarily every 5 sec.

these symptoms, set the weather alert item OFF in SCAN
menu.

Skip setting for scanning
Memory category/group/name can be set to be skipped dur-
ing scan operation. In addition, memory channels can be set
to be skipped during search or scan operation. This is useful
to speed up the search or scan rate.
