Remove the M6 screw

from the front and rear brackets.
2. Starting from the rear, press the release tab

backwards, away from the rail. Push the
rail-adjustment bracket

toward the center of the rack until it snaps into place. Lift the tab that
secures the rear of the slide rail to the rear mounting flange.
3. Repeat step 2 to remove the front bracket and then remove the support rail from the rack.
4.
Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the other support rail.
Removing the support rails for the SAN Volume Controller 2145-8G4
This topic describes how to remove the SAN Volume Controller 2145-8G4 support rails.
Perform the following steps to remove the SAN Volume Controller 2145-8G4 support rails:
1. Loosen and remove the captive screw

and latch strike

from the left rear mounting flange, as
shown in Figure 49 on page 57, to release the slide rail

. Loosen and remove the captive screw
from the right rear mounting flange and release the other slide rail in the same way.
