Verify AIX Software Installation
1. To verify that the device driver for the PCI Dual Channel Ultra2 SCSI Adapter
device driver is installed:

If necessary, login as root.
Ÿ
Type:
lslpp -l all | grep ðð1ððbðð
and press Enter.
2. Possible Results:
Ÿ
If the PCI Dual Channel Ultra2 SCSI Adapter device driver is installed, the
following is an example of the data that appears:
devices.pci.141ð2eðð.diag 4.2.1.ð COMMITTED SYM53C896 DUAL CHANNEL PCI
devices.pci.141ð2eðð.rte
4.2.1.ð COMMITTED SYM53C896 DUAL CHANNEL PCI
If this appears but you continue to have problems, go to “Installing the
Adapter” on page 5-1.

If no data appears on your screen, the PCI Dual Channel Ultra2 SCSI
Adapter device driver did not install. Return to Chapter 3, “Installing Device
Driver Software” on page 3-1. Return to “Verify AIX Hardware Installation”
on page 5-3 and continue with step 1 again.
If you continue to experience problems, it may be necessary to call your system
support organization. Refer to your operating system documentation for directions.
