5 Completing the operation
Read the notes that follow before proceeding.
Note: Follow the instructions on the panels to
complete the operation.
Note: If no errors are detected, the following will
happen.
A message may display stating “the internal
code changes were installed and
reactivating the system is required.” Select
YES to close the window. When complete,
go to “Licensed Internal Code Changes
(Support Element)” on page 6-21.
OR
Your Hardware Management Console may
re-initialize. If this happens, wait until the
Hardware Management Console Logon
panel displays. LOG ON in
SERVICE
mode. When complete, go to “Licensed
Internal Code Changes (Support Element)”
on page 6-21.
Note: If errors are detected during this procedure,
Double click on the highlighted message in
the Install and Activate Progress panel.
Follow the instruction given to correct the
problem then retry this procedure.
OR
If errors are detected during this procedure,
the Hardware Messages icon will be
flashing. Correct the problem (see
The
Hardware Messages icon on page 6-18),
then retry this procedure.
Note: If you have more than one Hardware
Management Console repeat this procedure
for each Hardware Management Console
