– If a (device) not ready--(A)bort or (R)etry message appears, press A
to cancel the message and continue.
– The Windows 95 desktop should appear. (If you make the wrong
selection in Microsoft Windows 95, return to Step 003 on page 2-46 and
try again.)
– In the Windows 95 desktop, double-click on the My Computer icon.
– With the My Computer icon open, verify that the drive device you wish to
check is in the window with the other drives.
IS THE DRIVE DEVICE LISTED AS ONE OF THE INSTALLED DRIVES?

– Ensure all drive device cables are connected properly.
– Ensure the power connector has the correct voltage (see “Power
Supply” on page 2-32).
– Check continuity of the drive device system cable, and replace if
necessary.
– Replace the drive device.

– Install a known good media in the drive.
– Click on the drive icon at the top of the File Manager window.
DOES THE FILE MANAGER PANEL CHANGE TO LIST THE CONTENTS
OF THE DRIVE?
