DHCP

network

IBM
Director
server

console
are
on
the

subnet
as
the
external
(management)
port

the
management
module.

DHCP
server
exists
on
the
same
subnet
as
well.
v
You
have
already
obtained
the
IP
addresses
on
the
same
subnet
for:

The
management
module
–
Each
switch
module
–
Each
processor
blade
(blade
server)
v
You
have
obtained
a
gateway
IP
address
and
subnet
mask
(if
needed).
Follow
this
steps
to
deploy
and
configure
your
BladeCenter
unit
using
IBM
Director
and
a
DHCP
server:
1.
Plug
in
the
BladeServer
and
check
the
LED
status.
2.
From
IBM
Director,
set
Chassis
Association
and
select
the
Chassis
&
Chassis
Members
group
view.
3.
Initiate
chassis
discovery.
The
BladeCenter
managed
object
appears
on
the
IBM
Director
console.
