Configuring
your
server
The
following
configuration
programs
are
provided
with
your
server:

Configuration/Setup
Utility
This
is
part
of
the
basic
input/output
system
(BIOS)
code
in
your
server.
Use
it
to
configure
serial
port
assignments,
change
interrupt
request
(IRQ)
settings,
change
the
startup-device
sequence,
set
the
date
and
time,
and
set
passwords.
For
information
about
using
this
utility

Setup

CD
This
provides
software-setup
tools
and
installation
tools
that
are
designed
for
your
server.
Use
this
CD
during
the
installation
of
your
server
to
configure
basic
hardware
features.

Configuration
Utility
Use
this
to
configure
the
integrated
SCSI
controller
with
RAID
capabilities
and
the
devices
that
are
attached

it.

ServeRAID
Manager
ServeRAID
™
Manager
is
available
as
a
stand-alone
program
and
as
an
IBM
Director
extension.
If
a
ServeRAID
adapter
is
installed
in
your
server
or
if
you
are
using
the
RAID
capabilities
of
the
SCSI
controller,
use
ServeRAID
Manager
to
define
and
configure
your
disk-array
subsystem
before
you
install
the
operating
system.
