Clean the hedge trimmer blades after every use.
They must be kept clean of tree sap and moisture.

Keep the blades lubricated with a silicone based grease.

Inspect the cutting surface of the teeth and sharpen accordingly.
NOTE
DO NOT
use a hose pipe or pressure washer to clean the machine.
Water could penetrate the engine and cause damage that will not be covered by the
warranty.
DO NOT
use solvent based cleaning products as these could damage plastic
components.

Using a damp cloth wipe down the machine after every use.

Grease and oil moving parts on a regular basis.

Make sure the ventilation slots on the engine are kept free and clear of any debris.

Make sure the engine cooling fins are kept free and clear of any debris.
NOTE
Proper storage of the machine will prevent possible damage or starting issues.
8.0
Perform all the general maintenance on the machine as outlined in this manual.
8.1
Clean the outside of the machine.
8.2
Remove all the fuel from the fuel tank then run the machine at idle until it cuts out.
This will remove the remaining fuel from fuel lines and the carburettor.
8.3
Allow the engine to cool down.
8.4
Remove the spark plug and pour 1 teaspoon of fresh engine oil down the cylinder bore.
8.5
Place a lint free cloth over the spark plug hole and pull the recoil start handle 5 to 6
times to coat the cylinder bore with fresh oil, then refit the spark plug.
8.6
Store the machine in a cool dry place away from sources of ignition and away from
extremes of temperature change.
8.7
Do not stack other items on top of the machine.
