Kickback is a result of power tool misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or
conditions and can be avoided by taking proper precautions.

Maintain a firm grip on the machine and position your body and arm to allow you to
resist kickback forces.

Always use both hands on the handlebars for maximum control over kickback.

Never place your hands, feet or any other body part near the rotating blade.

If the blade becomes clogged, turn off the machine and remove the spark plug HT lead
cap before attempting to remove any blockages.

To adjust the cutting angle, lift the lock lever with your finger and hold.

Push down on the angle adjustment lever.

This will allow you up to 180° of adjustment in the trimmer head.
Once the cutting angle has been selected, release both levers to lock in place.

Check with your local authority there are no seasonal bans on hedge trimming in your
area.

Never work from a ladder, stool or any other raised position that is not fully secured.

Check the area to be cut for cables, wire or any other obstruction that could become
entangled in the cutting blades.
