software. Software written to print to a local printer can print over the network if the
printer port has been
captured , using the
CAPTURE
command or a similar method.
The file server makes its queues available to print servers , which may be located:

on the same server,
♦
on a different server, or
♦
in a stand-alone print server device such as the HyperNet Fastprint network
print server.
If a printer is directly attached to a NetWare file server, or if it is attached to a
workstation on the network (using the
RPRINTER
program, as described below) then
the print server needs to be run on the server itself.
