Performing maintenance
Change the test liquid
Each use of the CTM differs from any other. This means that it is very difficult
to define fixed replacement intervals for the test liquid. The intervals have to
be determined by experience for each application.
Permanently observe and check the test liquid for smell and appearance.
Grease, oil, preservatives and water have the effect of increasingly clouding
the test liquid or giving it a yellow tint.
If you only reach negative control values > 0.8 mg, replace the test liquid.
Draining the test liquid
To drain the CTM-SC, please proceed as follows:
1. Detach hose A / B / C from the CTM-E
module.
2. In the user interface, select the detached
hose as the outlet.
3. Make sure that a suitable container is
available for the drained liquid.
Insert the hose into the container.
Hold onto the hose while
draining the unit.
Note that this draining process
will leave residual test liquid in the
reservoirs, the filters and the lines.
4. Start the "Drain" process on the user
interface and press the foot switch.
5. Once test liquid ceases to issue from the
unit, coil up the hose.
Owing to the design of the unit,
the level sensor in the reservoir does not
capture the reservoir bottom. As a result,
a reservoir content of approx. 5 liters
remains.
6. The CTM-SC has been drained.
