VALVE SPRINGS CHECK
• The following procedure is applied to all valve springs.
1. Measure:
• Valve spring "a" free length
Not conforming to specifications Replace valve spring. (see
fig. 38)
2. Measure:
• Compressed valve spring "a" strength
Not conforming to specifications Replace valve spring. (see
fig. 39)
3. Measure:
• Valve spring "a" inclination (see fig. 40)
Not conforming to specifications • Replace valve spring.
• b. Installed length
