ENGINE OVERHAUL

5.  Rotate:

•  Crankshaft (various revolutions clockwise)

6.  Check:

•  Reference " I " "a"

•  Align the reference " I " on the generator rotor to the stationary 

reference "b" on the generator cover.

•  Reference " I " "c"

•  Align the reference " I " on the camshaft sprocket to the statio

-

nary reference "d" on the cylinder head.

•  Misalignment 

  Correct.

•  Make reference to installation operations mentioned above.

Camshaft sprocket bolt 30 Nm (3.0 mkg, 22 ft-lb)

• 

WARNING!

Make sure the camshaft sprocket bolt is tighte-

• 

ned to the specified torque to avoid the bolt from 

loosening and damaging the engine.

7.  Tighten:

•  Camshaft sprocket bolt

8.  Measure:

•  Valve clearance

•  Not conforming to specifications 

  Adjust.
