1.3.1  Front Panel 

I. Schematic diagram 

On its front panel the S3928P-SI provides 24 fixed auto-negotiation 
10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet ports, four 1000 Mbps SFP ports and one Console 
port, as shown in Figure 1-3. 

 

(1) 24 x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port status LEDs 

(2) 1000 Mbps SFP port status LEDs 

(3) AC-input power LED 

(4) Port mode LED 

(5) Mode button 

(6) 7-segment digitron display

II. LEDs 

The S3928P-SI provides one AC-input power LED, one port mode LED, one 
7-segment digitron display, 24 x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port status LEDs, and four SFP 
port status LEDs on its front panel. You can learn how it operates by reading the LEDs 
as shown in Table 1-5.
