LINK indicator of 8AS is on when the line is connected, and off when the link is
disconnected.

LINK indicator of 16AS is on when the line is connected, and off when the line is
disconnected.
Caution:
When connecting the cables, observe the identifiers on the interfaces to avoid wrong connection and
damage to the module and the router.
8.8 1E1/2E1/4E1 Module
Caution:
If the interface cable of 1E1/2E1/4E1 is led out to the outdoor, a special lightning arrester should be
installed at the input end of the signal line to obtain better lightning protection effect.
8.8.1 Introduction
I. Module function
E1 is an abbreviated term for cE1/PRI module.
The main function of E1 module is to implement the receiving, transmission, and
processing the E1 data streams. In addition, it provides access to cE1, implementing
the ISDN PRI function so that one board can serve multiple purposes.
R2600/3600 series routers support three models of cE1/PRI module, i.e., 1E1, 2E1 and
4E1.
II. Arrangement of module interfaces and order
The method for operating on the cE1 module is different from that for operating on the
other modules: each cE1 interface is a Controller E1. The arrangement of Controller E1
interfaces is as follows:

The first Controller E1 interface is E1 0.
z
Starting from slot 0, the first Controller E1 interface number for the next slot is
equal to the last Controller E1 interface number of the previous slot plus 1.
