Function Modules

When you install 4FXO, connect the other end of the cable to the user line of the

switch, or the external line as we often call it.

z

When you install 4E&M, connect the other end of the cable to the E&M trunk cable

of the switch.

Step 3: After powering on the system, please check the indicators on the corresponding
slots on the front panel of the router. Several seconds after the module is initialized, all
the lamps will blink once when the module has completed self-check and is working
normally. If they are off after the system is powered on, this indicates that the module
fails to pass the self-check. In this case, please contact the local agent of Huawei.

Caution:

When connecting the cables, observe the identification marks on the interfaces to avoid wrong connection
and damage to the module and the router's host.

8.13 8LSA Module

Warning:

Plugging or unplugging the interface cable of 8LSA module is prohibited when the router is powered on,
otherwise the equipment or the module may be damaged.

8.13.1 Introduction

LSA is the abbreviation for low-speed synchronous/asynchronous serial interface.

8LSA module supports both synchronization and asynchronization, which mainly
functions to receive/transmit and process sync/async serial data stream.
