If more than two GRFUs or DRFUs are configured for G1 or G7, the GRFU or DRFU that is
not inserted can be preferentially positioned in slot in G2 or G8. If more than two GRFUs or
DRFUs are configured for G2 or G8, the GRFU or DRFU that is not inserted can be preferentially
positioned in the slot in G1 or G7 and then in the slot in G3 or G9 when the slot is insufficient.
If more than two GRFUs or DRFUs are configured for G3 or G9, the GRFU or DRFU that is

3.7.3 Slot Assignment for the RFUs in a Base Station Working in
UMTS Only Mode
When a base station works in UMTS only mode, the WRFU slot assignment in a cabinet must
comply with specific principles.
Numbering Scheme
l
The sectors in a base station working in UMTS only mode are numbered from U1 in a
numerical order, for example U1 and U2.
l
The slots are numbered from 0 in a numerical order, for example slot 0, slot 1, and slot 2.
A slot can be identified through cabinet slot number, for example, slot 1 in cabinet
1 (primary RFC).
