Transmission Cable Connections in the UMTS Only Base Station

In a UMTS base station, the E1/T1 cable, FE/GE Ethernet cable, or FE/GE optical cable can be
used for data transmission.

Transmission over the E1 Cable

Figure 5-8

shows the transmission cable connections when only the E1/T1 cable is used for data

transmission in a base station where only the WMPT is configured in the BBU.
