5.9 Clearing the press channel
Caution!
Only authorised, trained staff may carry out work in Set-up mode.
When the press channel needs clearing proceed as follows:
Once the last bale has been strapped:
- Press
“Automatic Off”
• The press ram returns to its initial position and the press switches to
“Manual
mode”
- Use the key-operated switch to select Set-up mode
- Relieve the press channel -> K 8 function

)
- Attach the press channel cover at the labelled point and raise slightly
- Open the inspection door on the hopper and place square pieces of wood
(~ 1000 x 120 x 100 mm) on the floor of the press channel
- Press the
“Forward”
button
• The press ram advances, pushes the bales in the channel forwards, switches to
reverse and returns to its initial position
- Put in more square pieces of wood and repeat the process until there is no more
material in the press channel
