After a failed ignition too much fuel has built up in the burner – perhaps the complete boiler is
full
o
The light sensor gets false light:
The jacket has been removed from the burner
The light sensor is not correctly placed
o
The minimum light level is too close to the light level at no fire:
Test: Go into ”User’s Menu” (press shortly the menu button)
Select ”Light sensor”
Compare the actual light level with adjusted minimum level
If these are too close (distance < 5) – adjust the minimum light to make the
difference in the span 5 – 8
o
The hysteresis of the light sensor is too low
Test: Go into ”Service Menu”
Select ”Light sensor” and sub-menu ”Hysteresis”
The value shall be at least 15; raise it to level 5
If this does not help - that is after a maximum adjustment of 10 – 15 – the
failure is not here; do not adjust any higher as this can shorten the lifetime
of the ignition element.
The ignition time (time between minimum light strength until ignition is off) can be extended: Go into
”Service Menu”, select ”Light sensor” and raise the hysteresis (default 15 => if minimum light strength e.g.
is 90, then the ignition stops when the light strength is 105); this can be used if the fuel is difficult to ignite
than normally (hard pellets).
