Procedure

Power down the server.

Remove all power:

a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.

b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.

Do one of the following:

• Extend the server from the rack.

• Remove the server from the rack.

Remove the access panel.

Remove the air baffle.

Remove the fan cage.

Install the energy pack option.

Route and connect the cable.

CAUTION: Do not connect the energy pack while the server is operating. Verify that all power to the server has
been removed.
