Programs
Ensure that the program is compatible with version 1.2 of the VESA
standard. Some programs are written to run in Super VGA modes that
are not VESA compatible.
Problems with the MGA
Windows Installation
Check the readme.ini file for the list of changes normally made to
system.ini , win.ini and progman.ini .
Problems with the
AutoCAD DOS Driver
For the MGA drivers to work correctly with the AutoCAD program, the
AutoCAD’s environment variables must be set correctly. Specifically,
verify the following variables:
acad and acaddrv .
Video Problems in
Windows, AutoCAD, or
Another Millennium
Driver
•
Recheck the connections to the video cables.
•
Set the display’s RGB inputs (and the sync switches, if this option is
available) to 75 ohms, with the sync set to “external”. See your
display manual for additional information.

Try adjusting the brightness, sharpness and contrast controls on
your display.
•
Try adjusting the centering and positioning controls on your display
to position the picture on the screen.
•
Your display file may be inappropriate. Delete the
\mga\setup\mga.inf
file. Restart Windows and the 60Hz driver will
be used by default. If this works, start the Monitor Selection utility
and try to find the best match (start selecting higher timing speeds
and/or resolutions). Always
test
a selection before saving.
