Install the primary PCIe riser cage (on page 31 ).

Install the secondary PCIe riser cage (" Secondary PCIe riser cage option " on page 74 ).

Do one of the following:
o
Secure the primary PCIe riser cage full-length expansion board retainer (on page 32 ).
o
Secure the secondary PCIe riser cage full-length expansion board retainer (on page 33 ).
12.
Install the access panel (on page 25 ).
13.
Install the server into the rack (" Installing the server into the rack " on page 40 ).
14.
Connect each power cord to the server.
15.
Connect each power cord to the power source.
16.
Power up the server (on page 23 ).
Secondary PCIe riser cage option
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, electric shock, or damage to the equipment,
remove the power cord to remove power from the server. The front panel Power On/Standby
button does not completely shut off system power. Portions of the power supply and some internal
circuitry remain active until AC power is removed.
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all PCI slots have either an expansion slot cover or an expansion board installed.
IMPORTANT: The secondary PCI riser cage option requires both processors.
To install the component:
1.
Power down the server (on page 23 ).
2.
Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3.
Extend the server from the rack (on page 23 ).
4.
Remove the access panel (on page 25 ).
