IOPn.MtcMon status: IOPx is unavailable for initialization.
Variables
x – the ID of the IOP that is unavailable for initialization
Severity
Warning
Description
When the Endurance software starts, it attempts to establish communications with the remote
IOP if that IOP is not faulted or disabled. The remote IOP did not become available within the
Monitor’s IOP initialization timeout interval. This occurs if the remote IOP is powered down
or not running the Endurance software. The local IOP remains in a ready state until the remote
IOP becomes available if the Monitor’s AUTO START flag is set to FALSE.
Hardware/Software
This message usually is the result of a remote IOP being powered down or not physically
connected to the local IOP using the IOP Link. It can also occur if the Endurance software on
the remote IOP is not configured properly.
Action
•
Determine the reason that the remote IOP is not available.
•
Verify that the remote IOP is powered up, the IOP Link is physically connected, and that
the Endurance software is properly configured (using the same K number) and running.
The state of the IOP Link (IL12) transitions to online when both IOPs are configured
properly.
•
If the remote IOP is not available because it is broken or cannot run, boot the Endurance
server by setting the remote IOP to disabled from the local IOP, or by setting the AUTO
START flag to TRUE on the local IOP.
IOPn.MtcMon status: IOPx is unavailable for initialization because it is currently DISABLED.
