The Gauges Area

The Gauges Area contains four separate graphical meters or

gauges

which

display values associated with four separate attributes. The Gauges Area,
shown across the top of the screen, details performance for the hub based on
four attributes. The following figure shows a sample reading of the Gauges
Area.

The attributes are:

Utilization.

The amount of network capacity used on the hub, expressed

as a percent.

Collisions.

The number of Collisions, expressed as a percent of all

packets received on the hub.

Broadcasts.

The number of Broadcast packets, expressed as an amount

per second, collected over a fixed number of seconds.

Errors.

The number of Error packets, expressed as a percent of all

packets received on the hub.
