Frame Relay Testing - Section 3

Performing a Frame Receive Test

This test lets you analyze frames received over the link to
ensure they are being delivered correctly.

•

Highlight

Frame Receive Test

in the

Setup Test

Config

menu and press ENTER or the RIGHT arrow

key to display the

Frame Receive Test Config

menu.

Specifying the Received Test Pattern

Pattern

displays

QBF

- the standard Quick Brown Fox test

pattern is expected in all the received frames. Refer to the
Glossary for the exact contents of this pattern.

Specifying the Received Frame Length

To specify the length which received frames should be:

•

Highlight

Frame Length

in the

Frame Receive Test

Config

menu.

Press the RIGHT arrow key to display the

Frame

Length

sub-menu.

•

Enter the frame length. This value must be within
the given range or

*CHECK RANGE*

is displayed.

The default frame length is 64.

Press ENTER to save and exit the

Frame Length

sub-menu. The frame length entered is now
displayed in the

Setup Test Config

window.

Specifying the expected frame count

To specify the number of frames you expect to receive during
the test:
