State
Interface state:

DOWN
—No protocol traffic can be sent or received on the interface.

Waiting
—The interface starts sending and receiving Hello packets and the
router is trying to determine the identity of the (Backup) designated router for
the network.

—The interface will send Hello packets at the interval of HelloInterval,
and try to establish an adjacency with the neighbor.

DR
—The router is the designated router on the network.
•
BDR
—The router is the backup designated router on the network.

—The router is a DROther router on the attached network.
