The generated air flow transports fertiliser or
seed from the fall sluice to the coulters.
The required air volume depends on the
•
type and quantity of the fertiliser or seed used
•
working width
•
drilling speed
•
implement combination.
A correct fan speed can therefore not be speci-
fied and must be determined by tests in the field.
Please note:
•
The air flow should not be too high, so that
no seed or fertiliser will be blown out of the
seed furrow.
•
However, the air flow must also not be too
weak, so that no seed or fertiliser will remain in
the hoses and cause blockage. Thefan speed
should therefore be set as high as possible.
•
Tocontrol the speed, the control unit in the trac-
tor must be equipped with a flow control valve.
Basic setting: 3 500 - 4 500 rpm
•
Max. speed: 5000 rpm

Reduce the fan speed when sowing fine seed.
NOTE
¾
Fan setting, transport and placement of fertil-
iser or seed must be checked on all coulters
when starting sowing and also at regular
intervals when working on large areas.
Connecting the hydraulics
CAUTION
Damages to the fan motor

Connect the supply and return flow lines
correctly (1).
¾
Connect the leak oil line to the leak oil port of
the tractor (2). Observe the return flow pres -
sure of max. 5 bar in the leak oil line!
